This created an unexpected budget shortfall for the festival and so the festival organizing committee appeals to generosity of the local supporters to make the difference. The Seattle Times Calls George's Sausage & Delicatessen the Best Deli

Owner Janet Lidzbarski

In the last weekend's Pacific NW Magazine section, The Seattle Times ran a very flattering article about our favorite deli in Seattle and its owner, Ms. Janet (Jadwiga) Lidzbarski. George's is 35 years old and it's doing great thanks to, among others, sausages and smoked meats made daily on site, excellent sandwiches and great choice of Polish and Eastern European groceries. One can hardly imagine a more enthusiastic write up. Congratulations to Pani Jadzia!

Visiting Poland on a US Passport as a Dual Citizen

The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in LA recently re-posted an official announcement about legal aspects of the situation when a Polish citizen with dual citizenship visits Poland using a non-Polish passport. The gist seems to be that you better have your valid Polish passport on you, but please read this doc to be aware of what your legal rights (and legal pitfalls) are. Technically, this is just a reminder of the long standing laws ... so maybe this is a signal about different level of enforcement.
