New Year's Eve Party

at the Polish Home


Dec 31, 8 pm - 2 am: New Year’s Eve Party at the Polish Cultural Center

This is the yearly New Year's Eve party organized by the Polish Home Association. This year dancing will be at the upper hall with live & DJ music by the Gee Bees band. Sit down dinner at 8 pm, music from 9 pm to 1 am.

 

Where: at the Polish Cultural Center Dom Polski; tickets $80 PHA members, $100 non-members. Reservations & checks due by December 25. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Dec 31, from 7 pm: New Year’s Eve Family Party at the Polish Parish in Seattle

The Polish Parish in Seattle invites everybody to a to a family New Year's Eve party. Babysitter service with games etc. provided for children aged 2-11, half price ticket for teens 12-18. Admission price includes a dinner with desserts, music by DJ Kazik.

 

Where: Parish Hall at St. Margaret Church in Seattle; tickets $50 regular, $25 children 12-18, younger children free.

Dec 31, from 8 pm: New Year’s Eve Party at the Polish Parish in Tacoma

The Polish Parish in Tacoma cordially invites everybody to a to a New Year's Eve party with music by DJ Jan and live music by Mr. Benek & Mr. Wojtek. Admission price includes a dinner; a bar will also be open and available to revelers.

 

Where: Parish Hall at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Tacoma; tickets $60 Parish members, $70 others.

Dec 26, 5:15 pm: St. Stanislaus Choir in a Christmas Concert at the Grotto in Portland

As is the tradition, the St. Stanislaus Choir will sing Polish carols at the Festival of Lights at the Grotto in Portland. The Grotto Festival features about 160 different choral concerts from Dec 17 till dec 30.. This is a wonderful opportunity to listen to Christmas music from many different countries, including carols from Poland.

 

Where: at the Grotto, at NE 85th & Sandy Blvd, Portland, OR; tickets $10, $9 and $5.

Dec 25 - Jan 1: Polish Home Closed for Christmas 

The Polish Cultural Center restaurant will be closed for Christmas on December 25, 27 and Jan 1. It will reopen as usual on Jan 8, 2016.

Dec 6, 2:30 pm: St. Nicholas Party at the Polish Cultural Center

This is a Mikolajki party for kids, organized by the Polish Cultural Center. There will be a friendly competition with awards open to all children to perform a carol or say a little poem. A Santa Claus visit will be a highlight of the event. The restaurant will be open from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Dec 5, 6 pm: Nativity Play & St. Nicholas Party at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse

This is a Mikolajki party for children, organized by the Polish School in Bellevue. The program includes traditional Jaselka (a Nativity based short play) performed by the students of the school, a Santa Claus visit, sharing of Christmas wafers and sweat treats, as well as signing of Polish carols with live music provided by musician friends and students. Every child is welcome!

Nov 5 - Till Dec 3:   Exhibition Photographs from Poland and Ukraine at the Gallery4Culture

Gallery4Culture in Seattle presents an exhibition Some Time Later ... I'm Here: Photographs From Poland & Ukraine by Alexander Mouton. Mr. Mouton is a Seattle based artist who spend four yeas living in Berlin. The exhibition features 22 color photographs from Warsaw, Kraków, Łódz and Wrocłąw in Poland and Lviv in Ukraine taken in 2013. The exhibition is open till December 3, 2015.

 

Where: at the Gallery4Culture in downtown Seattle; admission free, gallery hours are Mon-Fri 9 am - 5 pm, opening / closing on First Thursday is 6-8 pm
