Dec 31, 8 pm - 2 am: New Year’s Eve Party at the Polish Cultural Center

Ring into 2018 as the Polish Home! This year attractions include:

    8 pm  Dinner and Jazz Concert with singer Elaine Bonow

    9 pm - 2 am Dance to Polish music with DJ Filip

Ticket price includes a sit down dinner with desserts, fruit, tea/coffee and Champaign for the New Year toast

Dec 24 - Jan 1: Polish Cultural Center Dom Polski Closed for Christmas 

The Polish Cultural Center restaurant will be still open on December 22, then it will close for Christmas from December 24, 2017 till January 1, 2018. It will reopen as usual on Friday, January 5, 2018.

Dec 17, 12 pm: Remembering Victims of the Martial Law at the Polish Parish

The Polish Parish in Seattle invites everybody to a Holy Mass in remembrance of the victims of the martial law and the suppression of the free Solidarity unions in Poland in 1981, on the 36th anniversary of these events.

Dec 15, 7 pm: Movie 80 Millions by W. Krzystek at the Polish Cultural Center

The Polish Film Club Kino OKO presents a 2011 movie 80 Million / 80 millionów, directed by Waldemar Krzystek. The film tells the story of a famous action by the Silesian Solidarity activists to hide union assets from the communist authorities before the martial law in Poland in 1981. More of a heist thriller and dark comedy than a political movie, the film was Poland's entry to the 2012 Oscar's Best Foreign Language Film category. Evening schedule: 7 pm socializing & film intro, 7:30 pm screening

Till Dec 28: Movie Loving Vincent at Cinemas in Seattle and Tacoma

This ground breaking feature-length painted animation movie is a bio of Vincent van Gogh, the famous impressionist painter, covering his entire life and his famous paintings. The film has been co-created by Polish painter Dorota Kobiela and filmmaker Hugh Welchman who won an Oscar for Peter and the Wolf  in 2008.
 

Where: at at AMC Dine-in Seattle 10 in Seattle till December 13, 2017 and at at Grand Cinema in Tacoma till December 14, 2017 and at Crest Cinema Center in Seattle till December 28, 2017.

Dec 10, 2:30 pm: St. Nicholas Party at the Polish Cultural Center

This is the very popular Mikolajki party for kids, organized by the Polish Cultural Center. The program includes movie Boże Narodzenie - Małe Słowianki and friendly competitions with awards open to all children to perform a carol or say a little poem. A Santa Claus visit will be a highlight of the event. The restaurant will be open from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Dec 9, 6 pm: Nativity Play & St. Nicholas Party at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse

This is a Mikolajki party for children, organized by the Polish School in Bellevue. The program includes traditional Jaselka (a Nativity based short play) performed by the students of the school, a Santa Claus visit, sharing of Christmas wafers and sweat treats, as well as signing of Polish carols with live music provided by musician friends and students. Every child is welcome!
