Thaddeus Radzilowski, Ph.D |
This is a second
lecture by Dr. Thaddeus Radzilowski during his visit to
Seattle. At the Polish Home he will focus
on the Polish-Jewish relations and discussions about Jan
Gross’s newest book FEAR -
Anti-Semitism in Poland after Auschwitz.

Thaddeus Radzilowski, Ph.D |
Dr. Thaddeus
Radzilowski is a historian specializing in East Central Europe and
immigration issues. He is the president and co-founder of the
Piast Institute, a think-tank based in
Hamtramck,
MI
as well as professor emeritus of St Mary’s College in
Orchard
Lake,
MI. His lecture will focus on Poles in the
American labor movement as well as its relations with Solidarity.
The lecture is organized by the UW Polish Studies Endowment
Committee.

Redmond |

The book for
the meeting is Reisefieber
by Mikolaj Lozinski, published by
Znak in 2006. This is
the first book by Lozinski, 25, a young sociologist who graduated
from the Sorbonne in
Paris. The book is a surprisingly mature
treatment of a young man dealing with the death of his mother. The
book is available in Polish, please see the Club website for more
info. New members and guests are always welcome.
